UPDATE ON CETAG STRIKE ACTION !

Image
How do teacher trainees feel about the strike action? 🤔 ✍ SIR_OJ    Following a press release this afternoon from the leadership of CETAG, it clearly spills out the discontentment they have with their employer -the government. An Executive of Morlla Foundation  According to the leadership of CETAG, the government has failed to comply with the Arbitrary Awards Orders issued by the National Labour Commission (NLC) on 2nd May, 2023. Morlla Foundation embarked on Skills Training Event at Komenda Basic School, Central Region, Ghana  On account of this, the National Delegates Conference of CETAG has at its meetings held from Sunday 30th to Monday 31st July, 2023 resolved that EFFECTIVE TUESDAY 1ST AUGUST, 2023, ALL TUTORS of the 46 Colleges of Education in Ghana are to withdraw teaching and related services until the government has c...

MUST YOU REVEAL YOUR PAST TO YOUR PARTNER?

Image
✍ SIR_OJ  -" THE  SAME PEOPLE" whom you helped, even in your difficult times, are the ones to mock you when you lose your position -.  I created time yesterday to watch 'THE WEDDING WEEKEND', and I can certainly say that I enjoyed each scene of the movie.🤩😊   The movie reminded me of something I wrote some time ago, and I'd want to emphasize it once more:  . . . You don't want them to hear about your past from someone else, and you don't want to live in guilt or insincerity if you don't tell them.  Nobody truly comes without a painful past. We all have things in our lives that we are not proud of or enjoy recalling or telling others about. Maybe we're even apologetic for what we've done or who we've been, and if our lives were a book, we'd skip that chapter or those pages. But that was in the past, and you...

"CETAG STRIKE CALLED OFF !"

Image
✍ SIR_OJ  30th July, 2023. The Colleges of Education Teachers Association, Ghana (CETAG) has stated its intention to embark on an indefinite strike effective Tuesday August 1, 2023, over the government’s reluctance to implement negotiated conditions of service for its members. With the recent developments on CETAG, the responsible functionaries and stakeholders are embarking on numerous engagements with the government.  The aim is to find an amicable resolution to their long-awaited allowances in light of the inconsistencies in the current academic calendar.  Level 300 Teacher Trainees are two weeks away from writing their final End of First Semester Examination for the 2023/2024 academic year which comes off Monday August 14, 2023. Hence the strike action by CETAG will undoubtedly jeopardise academic work on various campuses across the 46 Colleges of Education. Student Teachers are waiting anxiously to hear " CETAG strike called off" . In conclusion, students ...
