The Colleges of Education Teachers Association, Ghana (CETAG) has stated its intention to embark on an indefinite strike effective Tuesday August 1, 2023, over the government’s reluctance to implement negotiated conditions of service for its members.

With the recent developments on CETAG, the responsible functionaries and stakeholders are embarking on numerous engagements with the government.

The aim is to find an amicable resolution to their long-awaited allowances in light of the inconsistencies in the current academic calendar.

Level 300 Teacher Trainees are two weeks away from writing their final End of First Semester Examination for the 2023/2024 academic year which comes off Monday August 14, 2023.

Hence the strike action by CETAG will undoubtedly jeopardise academic work on various campuses across the 46 Colleges of Education.

Student Teachers are waiting anxiously to hear " CETAG strike called off" .

In conclusion, students are advised to take their studies seriously and prepare diligently towards their END OF  FIRST SEMESTER EXAMINATION.
