Following a press release this afternoon from the leadership of CETAG, it clearly spills out the discontentment they have with their employer -the government.

According to the leadership of CETAG, the government has failed to comply with the Arbitrary Awards Orders issued by the National Labour Commission (NLC) on 2nd May, 2023.



Morlla Foundation embarked on Skills Training Event at Komenda Basic School, Central Region, Ghana 




On account of this, the National Delegates Conference of CETAG has at its meetings held from Sunday 30th to Monday 31st July, 2023 resolved that EFFECTIVE TUESDAY 1ST AUGUST, 2023, ALL TUTORS of the 46 Colleges of Education in Ghana are to withdraw teaching and related services until the government has complied with all the ORDERS of the NLC.

After spending the past few years living on campus, the idea of living independently was both exciting and a little daunting. UPDATE🔴: NLC ATTACKS CETAG ⚠️🔴

✍SIR_OJ  The National Labour Commission (NLC) has barred the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) from participating in its meetings until they call off their ongoing strike. The Executive Secretary of the NLC, Ofosu Asamoah, stated that the Commission will not entertain any concerns raised by CETAG leadership as long as the strike continues. The NLC has also taken legal action to obtain a court injunction against the CETAG strike. The Director of Human Resource at the Commission, Dr. Bernice Welbeck, emphasized that they will not listen to CETAG's representatives until the strike is called off. The Chief Executive Officer of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission, Ben Arthur, has urged CETAG's leadership to end the strike and engage in dialogue with the government.
